Herbal Constituents:

*Allicin has two sulfur atoms. Two amino acids which contain sulfur are – cysteine and methionine. The photochemicals which contain sulfur, derive from cysteine & methionine.

*Alliin is a precursor compound and when garlic is crushed it mixes with its enzyme alliinase. This action creates the fiery, antimicrobial, anti fungal, antibacterial compound called allicin.

*Phytochemical transformation into sulfides, ajoene & vinyldithiins contribute to garlic’s antioxidant, cardioprotective & anticarinogenic activity.

*Inulins are oligosaccharides found in garlic cloves. Inulins are prebiotics which feed our intestinal microbiome (esp. bifidobacteria) which increases levels of lactate & butyrate in the colon. Effect is a healthy colon pH and nourishing colonocytes. This will counteract the growth of bacterial & fungal organisms.

Combines well with:
Arctium lappa (Burdock) for skin support
Tussilago & Lobelia in bronchitis and asthma
Baptisia & echinacea in conditions associated with antibacterial or antiviral activity.
