Vitality Balance Functional Granola

Hormone-Balancing • Gut-Healing • Skin-Restoring • Detox-Supportive

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups gluten-free rolled oats
  • ¾ cup raw almonds chopped
  • ¾ cup raw pumpkin seeds rich in zinc for skin + hormones
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds vitamin E
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed lignans for hormone balance
  • ½ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 ¾ pitted dried dates

Functional Herbal Additions

(Add these before baking unless noted)

Hormone + Stress Support

  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 tsp ashwagandha powder

Skin & Liver Support

  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground milk thistle powder supports Phase I/II detox

Gut Healing

(Added after baking, to preserve mucilage)

  • ½ tsp slippery elm powder per serving
  • OR ½ tsp marshmallow root powder per serving

Wet Ingredients

  • cup coconut oil optional
  • ¼ –⅓ cup maple syrup adjust sweetness
  • tsp vanilla extract

Add-Ins (After Baking)

  • ½ cup fresh berries skin + antioxidant support
  • 2 –4 tbsp cacao nibs minerals + mood support

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven in convection mode to 320°F (160°C).
  • Place ingredients in a blender and pulse to desired texture.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment.
  • Mix all dry ingredients + functional herbal powders (except mucilaginous herbs).
  • Gently warm coconut oil (optional), maple syrup, vanilla until combined.
  • Coat dry mix thoroughly with wet mixture. (this is optional, you can choose to just bake dry mixture without any wet mixture)
  • Spread evenly on the tray.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. brown, stirring once halfway.
  • Allow to cool fully until crisp.
  • Place in a glass airtight jar.
  • When ready to serve, fold in fresh berries, cacao nibs
  • When serving, stir in slippery elm or marshmallow root powder to protect GI mucosa, soothe inflammation, and support motility.
